Since 1986, Phil Michael
and I have been attending the Monterey Jazz Festival and spending the
weekend at the Mission Ranch in Carmel. The music is great, but at
least half the fun is the setting and the companionship. A lot of
different family and friends have joined us on these trips over the
years, but for the
last few years, the personnel has remained pretty much the same: Phil
and Syd Michael, their daughter Greer and son Wynn, Syd's brother
Darroch, Doria and I, Doria's
sister Deri, and her husband Bob. |
